So I’ll just go ahead and prefeace this with a few rules!?

So I was watching heroes after wacthing the rest of the vodika I was drinking tonight and then I decideed to finish the rest of my burbn. While i was watching Jeroes I watched Man Vs. Vood. But it was only afer I finished the showt ahtI watched the MvF. That’s the orer that it went in. “Cake mix and Swiss Filled Chocolate.” “After the Whipp filled Avalanche” No idea whats up with that. So let’s get back to heroes!

Here’es is my Jam! I watched it tonight and I have to say that Episode 3 of the 4th sesaon is rockin’ thatshiz like my jam! Like it started off kinda weak this season but then it went to money butter. This seaon thay added this whole new carnie crew that is like a necessary addition to the rosther. like the main carnie guy is kinda aweomse but then he’s not but then he kinda is… but not soe much. i’d rahte r see knife guy knife up some shit but he’s all just angry and stuff. then you have bennett and he’s kind of a puss. what’s up with that. i mean dude had his face shot off in one of the previous seaons and used his “daughters” blood to bing him back to life. that’s kind alike hard core monkey bones. so then you have mind reader guy… um.. the guy that does that squinty mind face reeady thing. he’s kinda getting on my nerves cause i wish he’d team up wiht sylar who is in his face. i mean they could be like simon and simon. that was a bad ass team. i mean, it’s not like they are hanible, face, BA, murdok, and (was there a 5th a-teamer?) who wknos’. all i’m saying is mind guy should be a bit less winy and a bit more mindy. so you have claire and she’s all gonna make out with that gretchen chick next episode, but that doesn’t discount the fact that she was in her undies LAST epised! what’s up with that?! who knows. so yeah. heroes is my jam. peter is like “yeah, i dunno. i’m just gonna take it easy and save a bunch of lives and get more powers and show up and bennet’s house and peace out bitches!” and nathan’s all “whoa! i know kung fu” and then his mom is like “wait, you told that trick you killed her daughter?!” “nah, that ain’t me, i got this.” then millie was all “BUSS A CAP IN HIS ASS!!!” which that guy did until nathan was all night of the living dead and rollin’ up out the dirt.

so yeah heroes is the jam. i can’t wait to see next week when more heoring happens and more stuff nearly explodes. oh and when the next episode of heores rolls around i will be nearly 30 years old. sean and bryan will already be bag of bones, but i won’t…yet. never fear though. Jessica Canning (the love of my life) is working on some plans. FYI, i love that woman!

hope you guys are awesome. i hope to be posting more in the next few days/weeks to coem. i don’t think tyey will all be drunk ones, but what ever. this is my blog i can post as frequetny and drunknelty as i want. peace out biznachers! this san fran burrito is in the sack!

Inspired by a friend

A lot went on this weekend. Beginning with Friday I was given a welcome reminder of something that I had not heard in a long time. My spirits were lifted. Saturday brought my first session with a personal trainer. I was surprised at myself and am now eager to get back in the gym and finish what I’ve started. To be honest, Saturday night didn’t go the way I wanted it to, but that’s ok. It’s only one night out of countless others. Sunday, Mother’s Day rolls around and despite my best efforts I was late getting to lunch. It was one that I prepared and everyone had to wait on me. I was late because I went for a run. It wasn’t my best run, but I went. The lunch was amazing and consisted of Rib Roast with horseradish and bacon crust, roasted red potatoes, stir fry green beans, and roasted corn on the cob. Sunday afternoon was spent on the couch. Sunday evening I got an unexpected and again, welcome request to help out. Me, being me, I swooped into action and accomplished what needed to be done. I then offered to a helping hand at other things and happiness was had all around. However, against my better judgment, I crossed a line. It was ok because on the other side was what needed to be there and though I left disappointed in myself, all was forgiven. Back at home, I feel a bit relieved but at the same time, my hands bring back thoughts of tonight.

I said what I needed to say and the words reached their intended recipient. No one got hurt but myself, but that was more of a self inflicted wound. One that I will recover from tomorrow.

I do also want to say that I am glad to be a friend of Jessica Canning. She inspires and I am grateful to have her in my life. I am proud of her and I admire the strength she possesses. Against everything, she has done what she needed to do, for her and for Chase, not for anyone else. Thank you Jess for letting me be a part of your life.

So yesterday was the the challenge. It was set to be an epic battle and I had countless support from family and friends. I took the week to prepare myself for it by drinking loads of water and stretching out my stomach. I was totally prepared for the volume of food, what I wasn’t prepared for was the grease and fat.

Carnivore Challenge

There it is, that’s what we’re going for.

The back story. A few weeks ago, Jon said hey you wanna enter this pizza eating challenge with me? I said yes without hesitation. I mean, it’s a challenge. I don’t back down from a challenge. I took a look and it’s pretty daunting, but not impossible. I watched the show and despite their best efforts fell before the mighty carnivore. But that’s ok. Not everyone can be Jon and I. We’ve got what it takes.

Soon after the gauntlet was thrown we started getting ready. Last week I worked out pretty good and lost 5lbs, roughly the weight of the pizza I will be consuming tomorrow. This week has been all about expanding our stomachs. I’ve been drinking water like wicked mad (typically 24/32oz at a time a few times a day). This helps expand the stomach while also getting rid of toxins in the system. I’ve also been eating a great deal. I try to make sure that each meal consists of stuff that will expand in my stomach. Last night I ate an entire medium pizza in about 30 mins. In order to finish tomorrow it would need to be double that…but I have twice as much time.

So yeah. I don’t forsee this being a problem. Mentally we’re both juiced. Physically, I think we’ve done about all we can. Now, its just about eating pizza. I don’t train to come in second for anything. I train to win. Anyone that knows me, knows that I don’t quit for anything. Go big or go home right? Tomorrow history will be made, and we’ll have the pictures and video to prove it.

Feel free to come out and cheer us on and have a beer or something. We’re getting there about 1pm and the more the merrier.

MacGyverMeals.com – Coming Soon

So anyone that knows me knows that I loves me some food. With that comes my constant experimentation with combinations and what not. I’ve done things like Hot Dog Nachos or a hamburger with a crab cake on it. I like to mix and match my foods; some of the best things have come of that.

If you know me, you also know that I likes me some MacGyver. He’s pretty much my hero, and should be yours as well. If he’s not, then you obviously haven’t seen the Halloween Knights episode from season 6. I mean he teams up with his arch nemesis Murdoc to save Murdoc’s sister. There are snakes and Murdocism and all sorts of traps and such. Just great stuff.

So from the passion of mixing foods and scrounging around for what I have in the fridge to make a decent meal, plus MacGyver’s ability to make anything out of pretty much nothing, MacGyverMeals.com is born! I’ll do my best to keep track of my odd food creations or even stuff that I see while “out in the field.” I’ll try to put the ingredients I used, pics of what I made, and a rating towards rather I’d make it again or not.

There’s nothing up there now, but there will be soon. In addition to me posting my good friend Pam (from thatpamchick.com) will be putting stuff up as well. She shares a passion for food as well as putting together odd things (foodities as she calls it). So check back for our first posting and then keep coming back. If you happen to come across something that is odd or you’ve paired together send it our way and we’ll put it up. We’re always on the look out for MacGyver Meals!

Penne with creamy red wine sauce

For our family function I made lasagna. It didn’t turn out quite like I had hoped, but it was still pretty good. Tonight I wanted to see what I could do with the 900 gallons of sauce, so I decided to go for a creamy red wine sauce. Turned out WAY better than the original. The meat may have been a bit much, so you could tone it back or eliminate it all together. If you do, I’d go with whole tomatoes and crush them by hand so you get a bit more texture.

Pecan Pie cupcakes w/ Pecan Cream Cheese Frosting

I’ve been making quite a few cupcakes and a request was made for a) something with cream cheese and b) a pecan pie cupcake. Well, I’ve decided to combine the two into one. I did some searching and found this: Pecan Pie Cupcakes. Then I went and found a recipe for Cream Cheese frosting that I’ll incorporate some pecan’s into. I’m probably going to modify the cupcakes a bit so they will rise, but we’ll see. For now here’s the recipes.

Pecan Pie Cupcakes
Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2/3 cup butter, melted
  • 2 eggs

Directions

  • 1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • 2 Combine all ingredients and mix well
  • 3 Spray a miniature muffin tin with non-stick cooking spray
  • 4 Fill each 3/4 full
  • 5 Bake in preheated oven for approx. 18 minutes

For the cupcakes I will most likely do my normal cupcakes:

  • 1 package (18.25 ounces) plain white cake mix
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

But add in some pecans and maybe switch out the mix for something else. I’ll have to play around with it.

For the frosting this is what I’m going with.

Cream Cheese Frosting

  • 2 (3oz) pkgs cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • dash salt
  • 1 box (1lb) confectioners’ sugar — sifted
  • cup chopped pecans

Hopefully everything will turn out ok. If not it was a learning experience and I’m sure people will eat them any way. I’ll post some pics after they are done.
